Warranty Policy

All new STEM education products — including Arduino and Raspberry Pi kits, robotics kits, drones, 3D printers, and electronic components — carry a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase.

• Dead-on-arrival (DOA) items are replaced free of charge if reported within 7 days of delivery.
• Manufacturing defects that appear during normal use are repaired or replaced at our discretion.
• Where a replacement is not available, we may offer a comparable product or a refund.

The warranty does not cover:

• Damage caused during assembly, experimentation, modification or soldering.
• Consumable items such as jumper wires, batteries, LEDs, breadboards and 3D-printing filament.
• Damage from incorrect wiring, over-voltage, liquid, drops or misuse.
• Normal wear and tear from classroom or workshop use.

Every refurbished laptop is fully tested before sale and carries a 6-month repair guarantee covering hardware faults that are not caused by the user.

• Covered: motherboard, RAM, storage, screen, keyboard and charging faults arising from normal use.
• Battery health is stated on each listing; batteries are covered only if they fall significantly below the stated health within the first 3 months.
• Not covered: physical damage, liquid damage, software issues caused by the user, and lost data. Please back up your files.

STEM accessories (cables, adapters, power supplies, peripherals and cases) carry a 3-month warranty against manufacturing defects. Books and printed guides are only returnable if damaged on arrival.

• Contact us with your order number, a description of the fault, and photos or a short video where possible.
• We will assess the claim and advise whether to return the item to us or to a drop-off point.
• Approved claims are resolved by repair, replacement or refund, normally within 14 business days of receiving the item.

Shipping for approved warranty claims is covered by Techafon. If an item is found to be free of defects or damaged through misuse, return shipping is for the customer’s account.

Warranty terms for school learning spaces and bulk orders are the same as above and apply per item. For dedicated support on school deployments, please contact us directly.

• Proof of purchase (order number or receipt) is required for all claims.
• The warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
• This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
• Techafon reserves the right to update this policy; the version published on this page applies to new purchases.
